Mole, Molecules, and Molarity draft V 0.2
Version 0.02 of the mole molecules and molarity illustration. The basic functionality has not changed from v 0.01 but the interactivity has been redesigned make it look more like other recent illustrations on the site.

The goal of the page is to help readers understand the link between the actual amount of a substance present in a sample and the units of mole and molarity. Also why it is important to think about things in terms of numbers of molecules when discussing chemical reactions.
I've added some explanation text below the calculator. Right now the text does not change when the input options change.
It is a wall of text. I am still working on some visual components, but they are not ready yet.
Status of V0.2
- Calculator allows user to select between starting with moles, molecules or molar values
- Currently all molarity values are calculated based on making 1 liter of a solution
- Explanatory text below the interactive calculator is static. It does not contain any of the numbers from the calculator and it does not change in response to changing the starting units.
Next Steps
- Need to come up with some visual elements to break up the text below the calculator
- Right now the molarity values are fixed to 1 liter volume. Consider allowing the user to change the final volume of the solution.
- Consider having the descriptive text below the calculator change when the the input units change.
- Consider having the descriptive text below the calculator include some of the numbers in the calculator. These could update as the numbers in the calculator change.
